Event Details
Our first Children's Dharma class was held on Sunday, July 23, 2007, and was a great success. Taught by Susanne Fairfax, Steve Hetzel and June Tanoue, the class went over basic meditation, walking meditation, songs and building a model zendo.
The class now continues each month with teachers, Rev. Ryushin June Tanoue and Susanne Fairfax.
Children 3 years and older are welcome. Parents of younger children - aged 3 - 6 are asked to join the class with their children for an introduction.
Classes include stories, songs and activities relating to mindfulness, meditation and Buddhism. Sometimes special events are done, in accord with the season.
